Development updates

What’s New

Small changes, new systems and the experiments that are gradually turning NiNjAttack into a deeper browser arcade game.

Latest update

25 September 2026 — Movement, enemy classes, coins & global scores

Today’s build adds clearer enemy identities, player movement, the first persistent reward system and a global Scroll of Fame.

Color-coded ninjas

Enemy classes are now readable at a glance. Red is the standard baseline, blue marks the zigzag ninja, yellow marks the faster ninja and white marks the tougher tank.

Player movement

The player is no longer locked to the center. On desktop you can move left and right with A/D or the arrow keys. The phone controller now has dedicated hold-to-move buttons while tapping the throw area still launches exactly one shuriken.

Silver coin drops

Defeated ninjas can now drop animated silver coins. Drops are random, harder enemy classes have better chances, and rarer coins can be worth more. Collected coins persist between runs and will become the foundation for the upcoming shop and equipment systems.

Global Scroll of Fame

The Scroll of Fame now separates your local best runs from a global Top 100. Each player keeps one global best score, the chosen ninja name is remembered, and future personal records sync automatically.

More systems are still being tested. NiNjAttack stays deliberately quick to start: press Play, survive, collect what you can and chase a better run.
